As April is dedicated to raising awareness of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), this is an opportunity to shine light on an illness that affects the daily lives of 10 to 20% of Quebecers. This disease forces us to be extra vigilant with our diet. Consequently, it is important to have some knowledge of nutrition, especially FODMAP foods, lactose and their substitutes.
